Buyside Brief ("we," "us," "our") is a free daily email newsletter that monitors SEC EDGAR Form 4 filings and surfaces insider trading signals. Our website is located at buysidebrief.com.
Email address. When you subscribe to Buyside Brief, we collect the email address you provide through our signup form. That's the only piece of personal information we collect.
Usage data. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) may automatically collect basic analytics such as page views, referring URLs, and browser type. This data is aggregated and not tied to individual users. Our email provider (Resend) tracks open rates and click rates at an aggregate level to help us understand how the newsletter is performing.
We use your email address for one purpose: to send you the Buyside Brief newsletter. This includes our daily digest (weekday mornings) and our optional weekly roundup (Saturday mornings).
We may also use your email to send you occasional service-related communications, such as a notice if we change our sending schedule or update these policies. We will never send you spam or unrelated marketing.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your email address to any third party. We do not share your email with advertisers, sponsors, or data brokers. We do not use your email for targeted advertising.
We use the following services to operate the newsletter. Each processes your email address solely for the purpose of delivering our emails:
Resend — our email sending provider. They process your email address to deliver the newsletter. Their privacy policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Vercel — our website hosting provider. They may process basic web traffic data. Their privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Our emails and website may contain affiliate links to brokerage platforms and financial tools. If you click these links and take an action (such as opening an account), we may earn a commission. These links do not affect the insider trading signals we surface — our scoring is based entirely on SEC filing data. Affiliate partners do not receive your email address or personal information from us.
Our website uses minimal or no cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or retargeting. If our hosting provider sets functional cookies (such as for performance or security), they are strictly necessary and not used for marketing.
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter. When you unsubscribe, your email is removed from our active mailing list. Residual copies may exist in backups for a limited period but will not be used for any purpose.
Unsubscribe. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list — no guilt trip, no "are you sure?" hoops.
Deletion. You can request that we delete all data associated with your email address by contacting us at hello@buysidebrief.com. We'll process your request within 30 days.
Access. You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you (it's just your email address) by contacting us at the same address.
Buyside Brief is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll note it in the newsletter. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
