By accessing buysidebrief.com or subscribing to the Buyside Brief newsletter, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, that's totally fine — but please don't use the service.
Buyside Brief is a free email newsletter that monitors SEC EDGAR Form 4 filings and surfaces insider trading activity using a proprietary scoring model. Our content includes daily digests, weekly roundups, a performance scorecard, and an archive of past issues.
All data we present comes from public SEC filings. We add scoring, context, and editorial commentary to help readers quickly understand what's happening — but the underlying data is 100% public record available to anyone on SEC EDGAR.
Buyside Brief is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing in our newsletters, website, scorecard, or any other content constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other kind of advice.
We are not registered investment advisors, broker-dealers, or financial planners. We do not recommend buying, selling, or holding any security. When we label something a "Top Pick," that reflects our scoring model's assessment of the insider trading signal — not a recommendation that you should buy the stock.
Past performance of our picks does not predict future results. Our scorecard shows how previous signals have performed for transparency. It is not a guarantee, projection, or promise of future returns.
You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions. Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions. Never invest money you can't afford to lose.
We make reasonable efforts to accurately parse and present SEC filing data. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information we provide. SEC filings may contain errors. Our XML parser may misinterpret data. Our scoring model reflects our methodology, which may or may not align with actual investment outcomes.
If you spot an error in our data, we'd love to hear about it — email us at hello@buysidebrief.com.
Buyside Brief earns revenue through affiliate partnerships with brokerage platforms and financial tools. When our emails or website contain links to these partners and you take an action (such as opening a brokerage account), we may receive a commission.
These relationships do not influence which insider trades we surface, how we score signals, or which filings become "Top Picks." Our scoring model is based entirely on SEC filing data and our published methodology.
The Buyside Brief name, logo, website design, scoring methodology, editorial content, and email formatting are our intellectual property. You're welcome to share our content with friends, post screenshots, or quote our analysis with attribution. Please don't republish entire issues, scrape our content systematically, or present our work as your own.
SEC EDGAR data itself is public domain. Our value-add — the scoring, context, editorial voice, and presentation — is ours.
When you subscribe, you agree to provide a valid email address that belongs to you. Please don't subscribe other people without their consent, use disposable emails to inflate our numbers, or do anything that would interfere with our ability to operate the service.
We aim to send the daily digest every weekday morning and the weekly roundup every Saturday. However, we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The SEC may go down. Our servers might hiccup. Holidays happen. We'll always do our best to keep things running, but we don't promise 100% uptime.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buyside Brief and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to financial losses — arising from your use of our content, reliance on our data, or any investment decisions you make.
This is a free newsletter built on public data. We provide it as-is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll note it in the newsletter. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
